Managing SSCE v3.5 thru VS2008 and/or SSMS

Hi all,

I just found out that if I want to edit the schema for a table within
VS 2008 I can't. (for instance change the 'Allow Nulls' property in a field
from 'No' to 'Yes').

I tried it using SSME but the tool apparently does choke when it finds
that the table has a different format. Even though I select the server type
to
be 'SQL Server Compact Edition'.

I thought that at least the feature to edit the schema could be done from
within VS 2008..!

Does anyone know how to do these tricks?

Thanks,

               Carlos.

Carlos,

You should be able to change the table schema of a SSCE 3.5 database using
Visual Studio 2008. Open the Server Explorer and expand the Data Connections
node. Select your SSCE 3.5 database file. Expand the node until you see
Tables, then expand that node until you find the table you want to change.
You should be able to right-click on the table name and select Edit Table
Schema.

SSCE 3.5 databases are not support by SQL Server 2005 Management Studio as
you found, but they are supported with SQL Server 2008 Management Studio.
