Hello,

I have a password secured 3.1 database that has been corrupted (don't know
why). However, when I try to do a verify or repair I cannot access the
database with the original password, I get the message that the password is
incorrect.

Is there a way to repair this database ?

Thanx in advance,

Mark,

Unfortunately I don't know any way to fix a database that is encrypted and
the password doesn't work to open it. Do you get any meaningful error
message?

Ginny,

If I try to open the database I get the error message saying that the
database is corrupted If Itry to Repair, either from code or from the sql
manager I get the message : "The specified password does not match the
database password." Error 25028

Since the password hasn't been modified I can only assume that the part of
the database that got corrupted is where the password information is stored.
Any ideas ?

Mark,

I'm afraid you're right, but I don't have a solution. I'll ask around
though.
