I just upgraded my installation of SQL Server 2005 Express to SQL Server
2008 Express. When I try to open one of my Sql Compact Edition 3.1 databases
I'm asked for the database password so that it can't be converted to 3.5. I
don't want that! Is there anything I can do to avoid this?

In order to stay at 3.1 database file format, you must continue to use SQL
Server 2005 Management Studio Express SP2 to manage the 3.1 file.
