Hello,

I have SQL Server 2000 on window Server 2003, I have a laptop client with
Win XP , I want to install MSDE 2000 on this client and keep weekly updated
with Server. Is it possible ,
If yes, How ?
or any other alternate.

Any hint will be sincerly appreciated..

Harsha.

I don't think that MSDE support replication, but.....  you could always
restore a backup of your database to your laptop.  That'll work.

I agree that backup and restore, DTS, BCP, Linked servers are all potential
alternatives but replication is indeed supported in MSDE, just not
Transactional Publishing.
