What I'd like to do is download Enterprise Manager or something close, to access and maniplate a remote SQL Server 2000 database. I'm familiar with those tools. but for the life of me I can't figure out what to download. I don't need to install a database on my PC. It seems like I can't just download the client tools...but maybe I'm wrong? I tried installing SQL Server 2000, but it says it's incompatible with my operating system. It sounds like the SQL Server 2005 replacement for Enterprise Manager only works on 2005 databases...why is this so hard? Any help appreciated. I looked at SQL Web Data Administrator (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c039a798-c57a-419e-acbc -2a332cb7f959&displaylang=en). Is that any good? Dos qanyone know? Does it run on Vista? It doesn't mention Vista specifically. I don't want to run into another compatibility clash. The other tools sound weak from their descriptions.
