Got a pair of HP DL380s clustered and am getting ready to install SP1.
Anyone have problems with the SP in a SQL cluster? Put SP1 on a Dell 1750
print cluster and it erased the RAID drivers on one of the nodes - something
I definitely want to avoid on my SQL box. Thanks.

Nothing on HP's. Dell requires Open Manager 4.4 (release June 6th, 2005)
before you install SP1 on there boxes.

Hi,
I agreed with what Rod say.U will have no issue installing SP1 on DL380. I
just install SP1 on my DL380 yesterday night and it's working fine. The same
things applies to SQL cluster.

Check all your drivers and make sure they are compatible with SP1. We
applied SP1 to a about 40 servers without any problems...until we got to our
clusters then we had issues. First check all your drivers and make sure they
are all compatible with SP1. We had Emulex fiber card drivers that had a
incompatiblity with SP1. After we applied SP1 we had 4 servers blue
screening and then rebooting themselves. Problem was made worse when support
talked me into removing SP1.
One lingering issue is that it on every cluster we have now our system event
log is corrupt. Still working on that one.
