Current Config
On SAN, two node active/active SQL cluster running W2000 Server w/SP4.
Two instances of SQL, one uses default port, other does not.  Largest SQL
database on one instance is 80G and on the other instance 10G.

New Config
On Blade Server, two node active/active SQL cluster running W2003 Server.
would like to keep the same instance names, connect ports the same.

Question
What's the recommend method for moving the SQL Server/Databases from the SAN
to the Blade servers?

Upgrade the existing cluster one node at a time toWindows 2003.

Add the two blades as new nodes

Remove the existing servers as cluster nodes after all testing is complete.

Please provide additional info
Once the existing cluster is upgraded to W2003, what the best way to restore
to the new blade server.  Do I need to re-install SQL on the blade server?

Yes, there are additional steps to add or remove SQL SErver in a clustered
environment.  Look up "Maintaining a Failover Cluster" in BOL (Books
On-Line).  There are instructions on adding and removing nodes to an
existing failover cluster.
