Hi,
Is it possible to create a single node cluster? I want to have some test for
sql cluster, but I only have 1 computer available. a 2nd HD is installed on
the computer, i want to use it for quorum, is it feasible?
Thanks,
Jack

Hi
Yes, a single node cluster can be built and it works.
Just install the OS, run clustering setup and after that sql setup.
Just be aware, you need a "drive" that is shared, i.e. a SAN.
It makes more sense to use Microsoft Virtual Server (not Virtual PC) and it
can create a virtual shared disk for you and you then install SQL Server on
the Virtual Machine.

You have also use standard hardware (desktop PC) and cluster :) See

for details.
Note: This is for testing purposes only and not mention for production!
