Hi all,
I am setting up a 2 instance SQL 2K (32-bit with SP4) cluster on a 2 node
Win2003 x64 ENT cluster.  Each node has 4 x 3.0 XEONs with 8MB L3 cache and
16 GB RAM.  I am looking for info on any switch settings I should use in the
startup file for the servers to take advantage of the hardware.  For example,

/PAE
/3GB
/LARGEADDRESSAWARE

Also, I want each instance to be able to reserve about 7GB of RAM per node.
Do I need to do anything with AWE to make this happen on this OS?

Thanks.

Supplemental Note:
I now understand that the 64bit OS does NOT support either the /3GB or the
/PAE switch settings.

More importantly, it doesn't need them.

You will need to enable AWE on each SQL instance and set the Maximum Server
Memory to the target value.

Hi

You only need to configure SQL to use the memory, how much memory is
available to SQL to use? You should see 16 GIG in Enterprise Manager.

On x64 the adressable memory is very large, so none of the /PAE or /3GB
switches were required.
