We are planning to implement a sql 2005 cluster. We have 2 servers and want
to implement an active-passive cluster.
We are getting a SAN very soon which will be used for the database storage
or another words as the quorum disk.
Before we use the SAN, we want to do a test SQL 2005 cluster install but we
are a bit stuck on what we can use as the quorum. We have 2 servers, so we
can use one of the local disks on one of these servers as a quorum. If we
use another machine like a another PC or server how would we connect to the
disk of the PC from the 2 servers. I hope this is clear.
Can anyone suggest what we can use as a test quorum device for our SQL
cluster.
