Hi,
I have a cube where the products we get for repairs under warranty are
analyzed. My dimensions are repair date, symptoms, root cause and products.
All this works fine my only problems is that I need to put in another
dimension called actions (things done to rectify the problems). The only
problem is that 90 percent of the times more than one action is taken to do
the repair.
If I put action id in my transactions query then every repair that has
multiple action gets repeated that many times. is there a way to model
this in a cube?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

you have to answer your questions:
what do you want to analyze?
Requests (number of requests)? or repair process of your requests (time by
action; number of actions)?
You can have 2 cubes, the first with only your requests, the second with the
detailed actions.
Also if you have at least 1 action by request, maybe your action dimension
can be created without the "all member" (so you don't aggregate the "all
actions", the user must choose a specific action to analyze).

Could the creation of an action minidimension help you? I'm not clear over
what you mean by "action". Different, repeated or both? How many different?
