Does it also listen on 1433 like SQL Server ? Run Fport.exe and found: Pid Process Port Proto Path 384 msmdsrv -> 2393 TCP C:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdsrv.exe 384 msmdsrv -> 2394 TCP C:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdsrv.exe 384 msmdsrv -> 2725 TCP C:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdsrv.exe 384 msmdsrv -> 123 UDP C:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdsrv.exe 384 msmdsrv -> 4500 UDP C:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdsrv.exe 384 msmdsrv -> 36818 UDP C:\Archivos de programa\Microsoft Analysis Services\Bin\msmdsrv.exe Cheers Michael Prendergast > Does it also listen on 1433 like SQL Server ? The port numbers in AS2K cannot be changed. There is new functionality coming with AS2K5 around multi-instancing and active-active cluster support that allows you to change the port numbers that AS uses. BTW: 2725 = SQL 7 OLAP Services port # 2393 and 2394 = SQL 2000 Analysis Services port #s The other ports are for authentication. 36818 must be for an outbound connection (and connection polling is leaving it open) after processing or something like that. I've never seen that nor the 4500 port below.
