I currently have SQL 2000 w/sp4 on my server. Can anyone tell me how I can
create a new instance? I'm looking to install WSUS and so far, because I've
installed it without creating a new instance, backing up the database is a
bit difficult for me.

To install a new instance run the SETUP program from you disc or SQL
distribution package.
