Before I go buy this I want to make sure it will work.  I am running
Vista and I have seen that if you install SQL SP2 that it will work
correctly on this OS.  Just thought I would ask the experts before I
make a purchase.

Thanks!

I don't anticipate you'll have any problems, but I'm not running
Vista, so I can't say for sure.  It woudn't look good from Microsoft
if it didn't run on Vista, so I think we would have heard something by
now.

Regardless, why not try the trial version on your system to make sure
it works on your system and for you too! :o)

Me too, except for RS, but the little RS stuff I do on my home machine I now to in a VM with SQL
2008 (where RS doesn't relate to or require IIS).

I too am running Developer Edition on Vista. The only problems I'm having
have to do with getting the SQL Server Service Packs installed. It always
seems to be a problem for all of my systems--vista, WS2003, WS2008--all of
them. While I have been able to get the SP installed on most of them by
holding one foot in the air and singing songs from "Mama Mia" IMHO, it
should be easier... ;)
