Hi

I am not very experienced in Sqlserver2k administration.  I do mostly
scripting. I need to replicate/synchronize/update data between our company
server at our head office in Massachusetts running Sqlserver2K standard
edition with a desktop at our Manhattan sales office running Sqlserver2K
personal edition.  I would like to be able to do this over the internet or
phone line (whichever is best).  Both locations have DSL service.

I have no idea how to start this process and I was wondering where or how to
begin?

Rgds,
DJ

Can you set up a VPN? If so then it'll be a lot easier and secure.

Hello,

Ideally you are able to setup a VPN link between the two offices (you should
be able too).

Once you resolve the connectivity (ie: that you are able to ping in both
ways using private IPs), you should be able to setup replication, since you
are going to have a "loose" connectivity you should look at Merge
replication in the BOL.

Hope that helps... José.
