We are using transaction push replication and like to shut down the
subscriber server for some maintenance maybe 3~4 hours.   What is the best
way to shut down the replication or do I even need to worry about it?

I am thinking about stopping the distribution agent or maybe logreader agent
in SQL ME.

Please advise.

Stopping the distribution agent is the best approach to a problem like this.
