After SP2 install, getting "Failure sending mail: Access is denied" on all subscriptions

Yesterday, we upgraded Reporting Services to SP2 (from SP1) and SQL
Server 2000 to SP4 (from SP3). Since then all email subscriptions for
all reports fail with "Failure sending mail: Access is denied"
reporting under Status in the Subscriptions tab.

All was running well until the the service packs were installed.

Exchange is the SMTP server, running on a different box. We have both
SQL Server and Reporting Service running on the same server.

Any ideas?
