I need to extend the look & feel of the boring out of box palettes that
the SSRS 2005 reports are using.  Anyone know how I can do this?

Yes - the charts that come with SSRS are 'lite' subset of Dundas charts.
They have more in-depth charts available for purchase.  They are currently
the only 3rd party charting company to integrate with SSRS 2005 that I know
of.
