As for the SQL server 2005's "Business Intelligence Development Studio", it
is installed together with the management studio as a member of the
workstation tools and components. So I think you can try perform a
installation on those components again to ensure they've been fully
installed.
Also, the BI dev studio in SQL Server 2005 is just a simplified version of
the VS 2005 dev studio which contains only the sql database specific
project templates. So if you have already installed VS 2005 full version,
you can just create sql server database projects (report, analysis
services...) through VS 2005, you'll find the "business Intelligence
Projects" category in the create project wizard in vs 2005.
