Total field includes data from rows that were filtered

I am having the same problem that Cyndi posted on 5/10/06. I have a group
that has a filter on it. The group has a footer that has a Sum field. The
sum field is summing all data for the group, not just the rows that are
displaying. Has anyone come up with a solution for this problem? Is there
anyway that I can get Microsoft to put this on their bug list?

you could always filter it in the actual dataset, or create a subreport with
that filter and then link it to the main report and put the sub in that
group displaying only the totals. In other words, the subreport would only
display the totals and thats it.
