I'll make this short.. i can pass multi-valued parameters to reporting
services without using valid values (comma-delimted list) no problem..
we decided to use valid values based on a dataset to move the lookup
logic into the reporting object (rather than manage SQL in a database).
Now when i pass those values through the web service for the
multi-valued parameter i get the "Value provided for report parameter
not a valid value". It works fine when i pass one value in, not fine
when i pass the comma-delimeted list of more than one in.

I think it has something to do with the format, works great in the
report designer, but reporting services is passing that in. Does anyone
know how the report designer passes multi-value parameters to the
reporting engine when valid/available values are involved????

Thanks!

I figured something else out.. i think because it's valid values, it's
comparing my big comma-delimted list to each item in the valid values
list, rather than splitting it out and comparing each value to each
value in the list.

Anyone know a way around this? Or a way to skip the validation of
incoming values against valid values? Or how reporting services parses
incoming parameters to compare against valid values?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
