Hi all;
how much it’s possible to install the SQL-Server 2005 DB engine over one
server and the SQL-Server 2005 reporting services (with the analytical
services) over another server within the same domain/LAN.

Thanks in advanced

Yes, you can install RS, which itself is a ASP.NET application, requireing
IIS, in a box without SQL Server instance installed, as long as it has
access to a SQL Server instance somewhere on the network to store its meta
data.

Be aware, the RS itself, if run in a box seperated from a SQL Server box,
also requires a full SQL Server license. For example, in your network
domain, if you user 2 server boxex, one has SQL Server installed, the other
has IIS and hosting RS, assuming you buy SQL Server per processor license,
then you need 2 processor licenses for each box.
