Report Manager blank when accessed from SRS server

Using SRS 2005 (non Sharepoint Integrated) on Windows 2008.

When I go to the reports manager URL (http://srsserver/reports) from the
server, I see the reports manager web site, but none of my report folders
are visible.  When I go to the report manager URL from a different server
(also Windows 2008) I can see all of my reports folders and everything is
OK.

Has anyone seen this before?

Sounds like a permission issue, same domain user from both machines?

Thanks,

Found the issue--it is protected mode in IE.

This solved my initial problem; however, after adding it to trusted sites, I
now have to enter credentials every time I go to the report manager URL.

In this Windows 2008 environment, settings will not permit turning off
protected mode for Intranet zone, the site has to be in Intranet zone to
automatically log in, and the site can't be both in trusted sites and
intranet sites.

Anything I'm overlooking?

In 2003 Server you can turn this feature off completely. Which if this is
your development box you might want to do. Note that this only affects
anyone who is using IE from Windows 2008 Server (should be a darn small
subset). Anyway, this is how you do it in Windows 2003 Server:
