Hello.

I have a report with parameter that depend on another parameter that
take the value of the current user (=User!UserId).

The report run fine until I'm trying to make a snapshot of the report.
I then get the error:
"The defaultValue expression for the report parameter 'user_alias' has
a user profile dependency. (rsRuntimeUserProfileDependency)".

I didn't find any help onLine. Can anybody help with this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Roy.

This is by design. The is issue is who is the user when the snapshot is
created? Here is a paragraph from books on-line:
"Snapshots can be created manually or at scheduled intervals for any report
that can run unattended. To run unattended, the report must use stored
credentials or no credentials at all. Furthermore, if the report uses
parameters, you must specify default values to use when the report runs. You
can specify stored credentials and parameter values in the property pages
for the report."

Note how it says stored credentials or no credentials at all. This is for
the same reason your report is failing. The snapshot is not based on a user.

Now, if you want you could make it optional and then use User!UserID to
filter the report.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the replay.
I did moved the userId to the table filter and its look to work fine.

Thanks.
