Data source not found issue

Hi - I've inherited our SSRS application here, as my prdecessor has left the
company. I would like to make modifications to existing (deployed) datasets
and reports. The only place I can find the data source is on the production
server in Report Manger.

How do I get this data source onto my development box so I can start making
edits? I figured out how to retrieve rdl files and open them in BI, but I'm
stuck on the rds files.

The only way I know to do this is to manually add the data source to your
development environment. It can differ in the development environment (for
instance you could use different crendentials) the important thing is to use
the same name for the data source.
