SQL Server 2005 Express / Management Studio Express. I was adviced
that this might be a service broker problem.

sysmail_event_log says : Activation Failure
surface area configuration -> service broker -> "This instance does
not have a service broker endpoint."

How can i configure service broker to send database mail?
Is service broker / database mail available in the Express version?

Pls help

I'll answer myself :)

It seems service broker is not available for the Express version.

Close.  Service Broker is available on SQL Server Express but Database Mail
isn't.

Then how come Express has Database Mail in its configuration? If what
you say is true, then this seems like deceptive practice from
Microsoft. There is absolutely no documentation available on this.
