While installing sp3 or sp4 on SQL2000, I get a "Microsoft full-text search
engine package failed" error message and the installation stops.

Windows2003 server

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ron

Can you post the sqlsp.log and sqlstp.log files which you can find in
%windir%?

There are some reports that this has been fixed by a reapplication of the
service pack or a removal of MSSearch and a resinstallation of it.
