How do I configure Windows 2003 to use the wordbreaker dll
(infosoft.dll) from a
Windows 2000 machine instead of it's own 'improved' version
(LangWbrk.dll). The 'improved' version breaks all our searches for part
numbers with hyphens in. Or descriptions with slashes in ie. 1/4 drill.

Thanks in advance.

You can't - but have you tried the netural word breaker? This might work for
you.

Please tell me you're joking..?  How can Microsoft break something as
fundamental as this and not provide a fix/patch?

The relevant fields are already indexed with the neutral word breaker
when looking to edit the ful text catalogue. The other table in the
full text catalogue is indexed with the US breaker, could this affect
it?

Currently I've been checking for a hyphen and making it do an AND
search on both terms. This didn't work for our part numbers such as
N-12627 until I removed single letters from the noise list. But it
still doesn't work for / as in '1/4 inch drill'.

Are you sure there is no way of reverting to the old breaker dll? Any
MS people...?

MS doesn't hang out here much. You might want to contact PSS.
