Time Out Problem

A single VB application links successfully to an SQL server.  The
application calls simple procedures to query the database.  After 30s these
queries timeout. If the timeout period is extended, all procedures return
successfully.  What is going on?

Background info.

****** Processor activity rarely goes over 4%.  *******

Available RAM has been increased from 1G to 3G – problem still remains

Many thanks

Phil

You need to look at these stored procedures. Chances are they are not
optimal.

Do they run fine from the console?

We are running from the console when the timeout occurs. The funny thing is
that the Processor activity is so low whenyou would expect ti to be higher.
