incremental Population not starting

Running on Sql Server 2000, I have a catalog set to do an incremental
populate every 5  minutes each day.

But when I make a change to a record and do a search on it, it doesn't find
it, even after about 20 minutes.  But if I manually do the incremental
population, it then works.

Why wouldn't the schedular work?

Thanks,

Tom

Do the gatherer logs reflect the population starting. Note that change
tracking should work better for you.
