Env: sql 2k sp3 Ent. ed running on win2k3 active/passive cluster
When SQL SP3 was applied on the cluster it failed to upgrade ms search on
the passive node
causing ms search on the two nodes to go out of sync.
Because of this the catalog created on the active node isn't usable on the
passive after a failover.
Found this in the log.
Setup is installing the Microsoft Full-Text Search Engine ...
"...\sql_sp3\x86\FullText\MSSearch\Search\SearchStp.exe" /s /a:SQLServer
Process Exit Code: (2) The system cannot find the file specified.
How can this be fixed? as simple as running searchstp.exe on the passive
node?
Thanks in advance,
Gigel

Unfortunately I don't believe so. Can you try to apply the service pack
again from the problem node?
