Hi

What permissions are required by an AD account/login to access a SQL Server
host?  For example, if my login - [mydomain\myuserid] needs trusted access to
remote databases on the host MYSQLSERVER, does my account require "connect to
machine" access as well as being granted access to the database?  Assume that
[mydomain\myuserid] is a restricted account in that it cannot logon
interactively anywhere.

TIA for any feedback and information.

Yeah, windows validates the user before it ever gets to SQL so if you're
logging in with windows auth, then you have to have windows rights on the box
as well.

Sure thing.  Don't forget to mark this thread complete if you're done.
