I am trying to install the June CTP and continue to get "SQL Server ... has
detected incompatible Beta components..." messages from the setup.exe.
Unfortunately, when I run the build cleanup wizard everything is reported as
gone (I have uninstalled all the pieces). There are no obvious files,
folders or entries in the Registry that I can see; where is the setup
routine checking?
Is there a better place to posted CTP questions? I have access to MSDN
Universal, so if there are other places for informal support I'd be happy to
look there.
Thanks,

Did you uninstall the 2.0 FW ?

I'm not sure what you mean by 2.0 FW, but I did uninstall the .NET Framework
2.0.
Does anyone know if the checking is done against the Registry? What
branches/entries?

I ran the setup with RegMon and discovered it was finding installer/registry
entries for the Express Tools.
The list is too long to post here, so I would recommend getting and running
RegMon from SysInternals.com. You will want to list setup.exe in the Include
field of the filter inorder to not see everything else.
Look towards the bottom in the "Other" field for "9.0x" or other 2005
related entries.
