Hi all, I have a few questions on installing SQL 2005 RTM from MSDN
Subscribers:-
1. I have a box that was running Sept CTP of SQL Server. Are there any
specific un-install instructions before I can install RTM? What about the
databases on these boxes? Can I back them up and restore on RTM?
2. Can I install SQL 2005 on a box with SQL 2000 SP4 installed running on
2003 Server? Does SQL 2005 need 2003 Server SP1?
3. Can I install multiple instances of Standard & Enterprise editions of SQL
2005 on the same box?
4. What about .Net version? Will the SQL Installer automatically install the
latest version or do I have to install it?
5. Is the version on MSDN downloads the FINAL version? Or is there 1 more
coming out after Nov 7?
TIA!

1) Just make sure to remove all beta components (SQL,SQL Native Client,.NET
2.0,SQL Setup files) first. User database you should be able to backup and
restore to RTM.
2) Yes + Yes
3) Yes
4) Setup will install it
5) Yes, it is the RTM build.
