I got the following error while install SQL Server 2005 Developer edition:
'The wrong volume is in the drive. Please insert volume SQLSRVRS into drive
E:.'
E is my installation CD drive.
Can any one give me some idea about this?

Roy,

What is the CD in drive E: called?

It might help you get other suggestions if you tell us more about
precisely what you are doing.

Andrew:

I am getting the same error.  I am installing on a Windows 2000 Server SP4,
256M RAM Virtual PC image, using the .ISO files coming from MSDN.  Again,
installing Developer Edition SQL Server 2005.

It's absolutely puzzling, reproducible all over the place.  The second .ISO
image (for Disc 2) is called SQLTOOLS.

This is the event log.

Application popup: Windows - Wrong Volume : The wrong volume is in the
drive. Please insert volume SQLSRVRS into drive D:.

I can't seem to find in the log files (bootstrap) where it is crashing.
