Can SQL server 2005 standard be installed on XP media center edition?

System requirement in the link
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/editions/standard/sysreqs.mspx
says "Windows XP with SP 2 or later"

Does that mean SQL server 2005 standard can be installed on XP media center
edition?

No, standard requires a server OS

I don't know the answer to the OP's question but your response is incorrect.
