I am not sure how the SQL Server 2005 got on my computer.  Perhaps when I
installed MS Visual Basic 2008 Express and MS Visual Basic Developer 2008
Express I may have included it in the download.  I do not have a server but
do have a network using DLinks with two computer.  Is SQL Server 2005
necessarly?  If I remove the Server will it have an affect on MS Visual Basic?

Thanks
Charlie

It depends on whether or not you want to do any database development.  If
so, you may want to keep it.  If not - or you already have access to another
SQL Server for dev, then you can remove it.
