I believe you should not worry about this. The x64 architecture was
developed by AMD and this time it's Intel who has adopted something
made by AMD, not the reverse (as we were used until now). The
architecture that Intel originally made for 64-bits is IA-64, but it is
used only for Itanium CPU-s (and it is very different from the x64
architecture). Therefore, it is understandable that the platform for an
Intel x64 CPU is named "NT AMD64", just as the platform for an older
AMD CPU is "NT INTEL X86".
