Good day to everyone.
I am in the process of upgrading our version of sql server from 7 to 2005.
My problem is we are currently using database application installed in sql
7,and i'm afraid it will not work in sql 2005.  can anyone help me on
this.what procedure i must do?is it a simple backup and restore operation
only?(i will backup application in sql 7 then i will restore the backup set
into sql 2005)
Any help will be appreciated.

P.S. i already test the backup and restore operation and unfortunately it
did not work.

Hi Pheter

See http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143393.aspx for allowed
version upgrades. Run upgrade advisor on your existing system to see what
issues you may have when upgrading
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144256.aspx

What errors did you have when trying to restore?

John
