Hi

I want to transfer dat from one table to another and put two fields into one
during this transfer - can this be done in a query

table 1
house no
house name

table 2
house name (house no + house name from table one)

thanks

Jojo

See the e.g bellow

insert into table2(column1)
select [house no]+' ' +[house name] from table2

basically you can use '+' to combine to column, if house no is numeric then,
use cast( [house no] as varchar)
