Dear ALL,

I'm going to install SP4 on SQL SERVER 2000 ENT SP3 but I'd like to know how
much disk space is needed in order to make this operation.

I tried the same operation on a test server (SQL 2000 STD SP3) and I wonder
why before and after installation the free space is the same......so SP4
make just file substitution?

                                                   Regards

That is correct.  The service packs don't install any new functionally
per say.  For the most part they simply replace the files with new
versions which are slightly larger.
