I'm wondering if the bug has been fixed in SQL 2008. This is a bug regarding
a much slower operation with stored procedures using cursors.
Thanks,
KK
Unfortunately, no, this is currently not fixed in SQL Server 2008. This is
often the case with fixes that require a trace flag, and also when the fix
for 2005 was published shortly before the 2008 code was finalized. I have a
query in to see if/when this will be dealt with in 2008 and will post here
when I find out.

Hi KK,
This is Mark, a SQL Server Engineer. I'm glad to assist you with the issue.
After consulting with our dev team, the known issue seems to be ported to
SQL 2008 and the fix is present in RTM. No traceflag is needed to get the
fixed behavior in 2008.
If anything is unclear or you need me explain further, please tell me.
Thanks
Best regards,
Mark Han
