Could any one help with formatting output for email notifications?

I work for a non-profit who needs lots of complex reports.
I code SQL and somewhat in VB.net.
The reports I run are backend from various software programs thru SQL.
Since SQL has limited reporting capabilities, I often have to use an ODBC
