Current Config
On SAN, two node active/active SQL cluster running W2000 Server w/SP4.
Two instances of SQL, one uses default port, other does not.  Largest SQL
database on one instance is 80G and on the other instance 10G.

I am trying to learn about high-reliability clusters (for IIS and Sql in my
case) but there is a fundamental thing I don't understand about the approach
that keeps me from swallowing the high-reliability kool-aid:

I have a Compaq DL380 G2 package cluster.
Prior to the Hurricane (scare) for the Houston area, all servers and the
cluster were shutdown/powered down.
I am looking for the proper shutdown/powerup procedure for the cluster.

Good day,
I have recently installed a 2 node cluster server with SQL 2000 SP3 in my
network. and have found out that users connect to the Virtual cluster server
inorder to receive SQL services but they get the replay for the physical
MDAC 2.7 in Windows NT Cluster with SQL 7.023 Sep 2005 14:36 GMT2
Hope fully there is someone who has done a similar stupid thing!  We have got
ourselves into a bit of trouble when MDAC 2.7 was accidentally (?) installed
onto our Windows NT Cluster wich still runs  SQL 7.0.  
The result was that the SQL Agent stopped working.  However the 2

I had 1 node of a 2 node SQL 2000 SP4 cluster fail. I had to rebuild node 1
and added back to the cluster
I installed SQL 2000 to the non-failed node and then applied SP4 to the same
non-failed node.

I have a 2 node windows cluster, and few days ago 1 node died, after install
again the node that failed, when i want to install the SP4 of SQL I can´t
beacuse "not all operations could be reached in all nodes". I have this
errors on the new node that i have installed.
