Is active/active clustering is also have load balancing . In Active/ Active clustering both the node acces the same database or differnt database , In active/active clustering does the cpu and memory are share by both nodes ? Please clarify the doubts.

I inadvertantly mis-edited the SQL startup parameters on a clustered instance and now the instance won't start. I'm wondering if there's a quick fix to correct the problem. (short of uninstall/reinstall <g>) I've researched this and am aware of the problems changing the local

I have 3 databases on 3 seperate SQL 2000 servers, all are used heavily. There is no high availablity solution. I was thinking of placing the databases in Windows 2003 Cluster. If I do that, in terms of performance shouldn't I use an active\active configuration

When trying to configure MSDTC per all KBs I've seen, several resources are required for this configuration. When I get to the point of creating the physical disk for MSDTC, I have no disk to select in the pull down. At that point, it's a stand-still.

I have active-passive two node cluster server, it's already installed two instances with associated two network names and IP addresses. Is there possible to install the third instance in this cluster server, if give the specific network name and IP address but no physical node 3?
