I have a SQL Server 2000 Enterprise server with 16GB of RAM.  I have
installed SP4 and the AWE hotfix.
I have 3 instances running on the box:
If I have 1 instance using 7GB and the other 2 are using 4GB each, does

I am installing SQL 2005 on a two node 2003 SP1 cluster and get an error
after selecting components and I have narrowed it down to Shared Tools.  The
error is:

I am installing SQL 2000 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 clustered
environment.  This is a two node active/passive setup.  The servers and
OS were setup/installed and are being housed by an external company.

When I try to connect via IP to a newly created Active Active cluster I
have to add the port to the IP for it to work.  An example is if my IP
is 10.0.0.1 and I try to connect it times out.  if I try 10.0.0.1,1433
then it works fine.  Am I missing a setting somewhere to make this ...

there be ant problem if I use the same name for virtual server and the
instance name ?Any disadvantages?

I am installing an SQL Server 2000 Active Active cluster on a Windows
2003 cluster.  I am unable to install the Virtual SQL Server as a Named
Instance.  I can succefully install SQL Server as a local or default
named instance.  I have added the client config utility to both nodes

Does anybody know how I can programmatically detect the name of the virtual
server if sql 2005 is running on a cluster?
In previous sql versions I looked up the following registry entries:

Hello -- I hope this is the right group.
I have a particular ecommerce application at work that currently runs on one
IIS 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 box.  The web application reads various "theme"
data for out customers to display their particualr theme when they log on.

We have an active-active cluster where SQL server instances are created on
node 1 and Analysis services are installed on node 2. We need to upgrade the
H/W for both nodes? Can I do a rolling upgrade i.e. replacing one node at
time in above configuration?

Hi All, Cluster Group is failing to come online due to cluster name.
Unfortunately running MSCS on Win2k Adv Server so most of the help mentioned
is towards Win2k3...Any luck guys...?
