I have been building active/passive for many years. I was thinking of doing an active/active, I've seen a lot of problems with active/active. Many people don't recommended.

I am looking to decomission an old AD forest and move all it's resources to a new AD forest. Both forests exist today. I have a 2 node Windows 2003 cluster with 3 resource groups -- the cluster resource group and two (2) SQL 2000 server resource groups.

I created 2 nodes active/passive and tested the failover. It worked. I added a 3rd nodes as active. Now nothing can failover to the passive.
