I am confused! I can build a cluster SQL without the use of an iSCSI? Or be, barely with a SAN + FC? In which situation would need to use iSCSI in an environment of cluster SQL? Thanks!

I would like to know if it's possible for the nlb to detect a close connection from my server when SQL Server service is stopped ? I can perfom the stuff with IIS (by updating metadatabase file), I would like to know if something like this can be done with Sql Server

1.I want ti install SP4 on 2 node Active/Active cluster but problem is i forgot SQL Server Virtual server name . How to find that. 2. don't remember on which server first i installed the sql serverIs the server hosting thw quorum drive is the primary node of the cluster.

I currently have 2 separate SQL Servers under the same domain, running different databases each and having different hardware. We are getting an SAN to centralize the data. If i move the data of both SQL Servers to the SAN then can i configure both sql's to be as one cluster?
