Does SQL Server require the /3GB boot.ini switch on a /PAE on a 16gb Win 2003 Server? What will happen if you don't? I know you do not use the /3GB when memory is over 16gb (With PAE...). Thanks...

I have a question about what happens in the event that the cluster completely breaks (whatever this may mean) - is it possible to get SQL Server up and running on just one box? I realize that this is an overly simplified question, and that many factors could be involved.

Well - first TIA! We have an Active/Passive cluster running W2K3 Enterprise X64 Sp1, 32GB RAM and SQL Server 2005. We're moving to a N+1 configuration (and then maybe N+M later), but I'm running into an error.

Anyone having a clue to what can be wrong?? The installer returns the mesage: Setup failed to start on the remote machine. Check the task scheduler event log on the remote machine.

I have a cluster A/P 4 processor 4 gig of ram with 3 gig allocated to SQL server. I have put on the same cluster my testing of 2005 and will switch over soon. How does SQL Server deal with RAM between the 2 instances?
