Adding drive dependencies to WIN2k/SQL2k cluster resource29 Dec 2006 03:28 GMT1
I need to add two additional SAN attached volumes to be dependencies
for my SQL Server Cluster resource.  Do I have to restart the cluster
service for this to take affect?  Is there another way for the cluster
resource to re initialize it's dependencies without restarting?

I haven't set up a failover cluster before and hope someone can help.
It is Windows 2003, SQL Server 2005 failover cluster. We have set up 2 nodes
emrdb1 and emrdb2, cluster name is emrcluster.

Say I have a current standalone SQL 2005 node that is SAN attached.
How can I get it clustered by adding a passive secondary node to it ? Can I
do so ? Or do I have to setup an entirely 2 new clustered set of servers and
move the database from the standalone server to it ?

resource by the same name.  We have done this before, but are running
